Math: Number 4

"I pledge allegiance to the flag"
They are getting so good at this!
Our wall of numbers. They each got a turn pointing to and counting all the number fours.
We did a lot of exercising followed by some oh so wonderful yoga! They were really good!
Balancing on one foot! Again, really good!
Next up, patterns! We counted and made patterns with our math bears. They did really well remembering what color came next and taking turns waiting for their color.
I made this matching game for them to learn their number, letters, shapes, or pretty much anything under the sun. I laminated a long strip of construction paper and folded it into fourths. Then I cut out and laminated squares then glued them onto clothes pins. The point is to have the children match up the printed number to the number of items in the box. I laminated them so when they took them home the parents could upgrade to higher numbers, letters, shapes, or words with a dry erase marker. It took a few of them a little time to figure out how to work the clothes pins, but once they figured it out they went to town! They did really well!
The one thing that I struggled with today was keeping my busy Kingston out of everyone's stuff. He wanted to grab everything everyone had! Poor Josh wasn't too sure about that baby!
Add a few songs, books, a few other activities, lunch, and play time and that's preschool with Miss Whitney!
