Thursday Counting number 5 and 6
Today the kids made a book of counting "eggs". I had gotten a basket and put different
animals that lay eggs in them. I then put
Easter eggs in each basket. The kids had
to count how many “eggs” each animal had laid.
I gave them a book to put stickers in to match how many eggs that animal
laid. The kids did such a good job
putting their stickers on the page. Jackson
and Josh have enjoyed counting the stickers on each page.
Another activity we did was, finding hidden foam circles with safety questions on
them. The kids were so excited to find
their circles and enjoyed answering their questions. After the kids found all the circles, they
had to sort out the oranges ones. I
thought it was funny because no one wanted an orange circle. The sad thing was half of them were
orange. The girls kept walking around
wanting to find a pink or purple circle.
Sidenote- My boys did not listen very well. After we played at the school park today, Josh was way in front of everyone and he walked across the street on his own to the car.
Tuesday- E
For the letter “E” we talked about eggs. I let the kids go on a egg hunt. They each had a certain color to go and find
5 eggs. The eggs and egg cartons were
#1-5. After they all found there eggs
they had to match them to their correct spot in the egg carton. The kids did such a good job matching the
numbers up.
Sorry there are no pictures. I will try and post some later.
