Letter N

We started the day with the Pledge. This is how Taelee and Josh decided to say it. Cute.

We talked about Nursery Rhymes. The kids liked this. We took turns acting them out.
Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pail of water.

Jack fell down and broke his crown and Jill came tumbling after.

My favorite thing was that when they were all eating lunch they made up their own nursery rhymes. "Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall. Humpty dumpty ate candy." They each took a turn making up the end of the rhyme during lunch. I loved listening to it.

We played Candy Land Castle. They took turns pulling a lever and seeing if the shape matched their gingerbread boy/girl. They did a good job both taking turns and matching shapes.

Our shape was star so we put star stickers in the night sky.

We practiced writing our N's through a gel ziplock.

We played a Christmas game. They got bored after 3 turns so we stopped playing.

We made Noodle Necklaces. The kids loved this. I think it was the best they were both days. They were so careful when they put it on. We talked about patterns and I tried to have them make a pattern with their necklace. Some kids did and others didn't quite understand.

We also talked about our names and practiced writing them down.

We had a fun N day today.

  1. I love the gel pack idea! Genius. And now I know why Isabella kept singing humpty dumpty that week. ;)
