FYI my camera is giving me fits so many of the pictures I took didn't turn out so we are left with just a few!
Pinky the PIG Puppet made an appearance at Preschool today! She taught them how to write the letter P, how to spell her name "PIG", and she even read them some books about her family (the kids had to help remind her not to eat the Pages a few times!) She was a big hit!
Then we made a Pizza with all things that started with the letter P. We read the words that were on the Pepperoni and matched them to the Picture on the Pizza (there are way to many things that started with P, I had a hard time narrowing down what I was going to do with the kids.) They were all very involved in finding the matches. By the end I think we came up with A LOT of things that started with P!
Next we colored a Pattern on our letter P's and cut them out into a Puzzle, and then glued the puzzle pieces onto another piece of paper. They all did really well with their patterns and are great at puzzles!
Next up was homemade Play dough! This is an awesome recipe! The Play dough is super soft and last up to 6 months as long as it's stored in an air tight container. In case you are interested, here's the recipe:
Ingredients:
1 C Flour
1 C Water
1/4 C Salt
1 TBSP Vegetable Oil
2 tsp Cream of Tarter
Food Coloring (actual coloring or a kool-aid packet)
Sparkles (If you wanna be a fun mom!)
Sauce Pan and Wooden Spoon
and a few little helping hands.
Stir in all ingredients until well mixed. Once the mixture is "mostly" clump free heat over medium heat. Stir constantly until it forms into a clump. Remove from heat and place on a sheet of wax paper. Let it cool. Once it's cooled knead the dough until smooth.
The kids had so much fun taking turns and watching the dough form. They also loved playing with it! We made letter P's with long snakes, used our stamp letters, made houses with toothpicks, and made rectangles. It was definitely the hit of Preschool!
For lunch attempted to make P Pretzels. The kids loved them!
and don't forget the Birthday girl! Ella turned 4 today! We sang Happy Birthday to her and then gobbled up the cupcakes she brought for everyone!
All in all it was a very successful day of Preschool!

Cuteness!! I didn't even know about the playdough until today. Thank goodness for this blog or else i would not know anything! What pinkatanstic day!!! Sorry, I couldn't come with another P adjective. ;)
