Miss Kamille

Today I introduced the letter G with Ghosts. We sang songs about ghosts. I thought this would be a big hit but they really didn't pay any attention to it and I couldn't get them to sing with me.

Next we talked about the number 7. What better way than to read Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs. The kids were quiet and paid the most attention to this activity. After we acted like each of the dwarfs and marched around the room singing, Heigh Ho.

When it was work time we painted our ghosts. They all did such a great job painting.

Then we practiced writing the number 7 by tracing our fingers on a paper plate full of flour.

Finally we glued pasta on our letter 7's. I am so impressed at how the kids stay in the lines when they do these things.

Next it was time to go our our safety walk. We stopped, looked and listened every time we crossed the street. We held hands with a grown up (or a kid holding hands with a grown up). We talked about never playing on the train tracks and looking out for trains. Finally we made it to the park and talked about taking turns.

We ate our picnic lunch.

And finally it was time to play.

They spun around on the merry-go-round.

Swung on the swings and climbed on the playground.

This is my favorite picture for the day. The train came by 3 times while we were there. Since the park is right next to the train tracks it was very loud. Every time it would go by the kids would stop and hold their ears and watch it go by.

  1. I love the picture of them covering their ears! Too funny! You did such a great job Kamille, I loved all your ideas. The flour writing thing is fabulous. And Isabella was pretty proud of her ghost she painted. Thanks for a great day at preschool once again! :)
